New Stephenie Meyer novella announced!

Check it out – Stephenie Meyer, ridiculously successful author of the Twilight Saga, is releasing a new novella — a sort of spin-off of the series — on Saturday, June 5. (The graphic novel adaptation of Twilight came out a couple of weeks ago, but it doesn’t really satiate fans’ craving for new material.) Titled The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, Stephanie says on her website that the new book is her version of a short story, that works as a “complement” to Eclipse. She originally planned it to be printed in The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide but it was too long.

As an added bonus, one dollar from each sale of the book will be donated to the Red Cross to aid in their relief efforts across the world. Way to use your clout for good, Steph!

Aaaannnnd, as an extra-added bonus, the novella will be available online For FREE starting at noon on June 7th until July 5th, at

All around, sounds like it will be a pretty incredible release.

If you’re dying for new Twilight material and still haven’t checked out the unfinished draft of Midnight Sun (check out this earlier blog for details), she still has it posted here.
