Michigan author Nancy Makin brings inspiring weight loss story to Lansing and 28th St.!

I just got off the phone with Michigan author Nancy Makin in preparation for our author talk and signing of her new memoir 703: How I Lost More Than a Quarter Ton and Gained a Life, and let me tell you, this woman is going to be a great speaker! In a short phone conversation she had me rolling with stories from her recent publicity interview rounds: air-brush attacking make-up artists, complementing Joy Behar’s cleavage, chiding the Brits their silly time zone (she has an interview tonight at 3 a.m. to match up with Brit time)! Having been interviewed on everything from Oprah to The Today Show, you know she’s got some great stories!

Check out this clip of her interview with Joy Behar on HLN (including Ruby Gettinger of the Style Network Show), and clear your schedule to come see her at our Lansing store Thursday, May 13 @ 7:00pm, or at our 28th St. Store in Grand Rapids Tuesday, May 18 @ 7:00pm!

You can also read an excerpt of Nancy’s memoir through the Good Morning America website, which features a video of her appearance on the show!
