We’re renaming our Lansing store Schuler Books & Pets…

… for tomorrow afternoon, anyways!

Saturday, May 22, our Lansing store, located in the Eastwood Towne Center will welcome the Ingham County Animal Shelter for a mobile adoption from Noon to 4 p.m.  Encourage your friends and family to come out and adopt the newest member of the family, or donate to the shelter to help other animals in need!

To help the shelter a bit more, Schuler has also partnered with New York Times bestselling author W. Bruce Cameron (a Michigan native) and Tor/Forge publishers in a unique fundraiser. Schuler will donate 10% of the cover price for every pre-sale copy of Bruce’s new book, A Dog’s Purpose, that is ordered at our Lansing location leading up to its July 6 release date.

To add to the furry festivities, we have an author signing from 1 to 3 p.m.with four local authors whose work has been included in the Pets Across America anthology series, a collection of smart, witty, and touching stories by real people about living with those unique creatures we call pets. Susan L. Kaminga, Rosalie Petrouske, Mark Edick and Lori Hudson will be on hand to talk about their pet pieces, and 30% of all book proceeds are donated to select pet shelters and rescue centers across the country!
