2nd Annual Zombie Night only a day and a half away!
The Lansing Schuler store is all a-bustle getting ready for our Second Annual Zombie Night, from 7-9ish p.m. Thursday, October 28! If you missed out on the fun last year, you definitely won’t want to miss this one!
To start, we are doing a Feed the Hunger Food Drive for the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Bring at least one canned or boxed food item and receive a bag of Halloween party favors!
Once again our centerpiece will be the unveiling of a new round of , is the unveiling of Beauty and Brains 2011, Zombie Pin-ups by up-and-coming Lansing photographer Jena McShane. This year we’re printing two images for each month, and you guys get to vote on which ones make it into the calendar! Featuring local models in a bizarre mix of horror and beauty, you’ll be able to reserve your copy of the new pin-up calendar, Beauty and Brains 2011. Bring four non-perishable food items for the Food Bank and receive a dollar off your calendar! (If you want to pre-order your calendar online, check-out the project’s Kickstarter profile!)
The evening’s festivities will culminate in two Zombie-tastic costume contests, featuring Grand Judge Channel 6 News morning and noon co-anchor Evan Pinsonnault! There will be a standard contest with prizes for the top 6 costumer wearers, and our first-ever Zombie Baby Costume Contest! The Zombie Baby contest is open to parents and their babies (2 years of age and under), with the best costume winning the Grand Prize: an Animatronic Zombie Baby!
There will also be a Zombie Dance Party in the Chapbook café featuring DJ Sammy — resident DJ at Spiral Dance Bar — with drink specials and graveyard goodies; a Zombie Gaming Corner; a Zombie film screening; a professional Zombie photographer to document the goings-on, and more!
We better see you there! 😀
