Paul Clemens investigates closing auto plant in Detroit

I’m back from a much-needed, and of course, too-short vacation, and back to my beloved blog. 😉

Today I wanted to share a promo video for the upcoming release by Paul Clemens, Michigan author of the bestselling memoir Made in Detroit, a 2005 New York Times Book Review Notable Book.

His newest book is Punching Out: One Year in a Closing Auto Plant, covering the 2006 closing of the Budd Company stamping plant on Detroit’s East Side. It’s a subject very close to the minds of Michiganders, (as it should be for our nation as a whole, considering the economic climate). You’ll be able to read the book when it comes out on January

I’m taking the liberty of hoping that this will get to Paul Clemens.

I found his Op-Ed piece in The Times today to be very informative and moving. More reporting of this kind is needed to make us all understand the world we are living in.

    Thank you.
