New Jon Ronson and Sarah Vowell previews!

One of the best things about being a bookseller is tracking upcoming titles and building the buzz about them.

One of the books I am really excited about right now is the new release by Jon Ronson, author of The Men Who Stare At Goats (the nonfiction literary basis for the George Clooney film). Ronson has made a career writing about the fringes of society (another of his titles is Them: Adventures with Extremists), and he’s got another doozy here with The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry, due out on May 12. Get a taste for it in this fun promo video:

Another exciting upcoming release is Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell, due out March 22. Sarah is a wickedly sharp social commentator with five bestselling books about American culture and history, including The Partly Cloudy Patriot, Assassination Vacation and her last release, The Wordy Shipmates. Unfamiliar Fishes explores the history of Hawaii. Check out the book preview:
