Help Schuler Staffer Pierre Camy make his home wheelchair-accessible!

Many Schuler regulars will be aware of the horrible tragedy that occurred in January when Schuler Staffer, Pierre Camy, was shot and paralyzed during a family vacation in Puerto Rico. Now the Carol Roeda studio has stepped forward to help raise funds to make Pierre’s home wheelchair accessible. Our thanks go out to them and everyone who donates or purchases to help Pierre through this rough time!

The Story:

Carol Roeda Studio designed a series of houses to benefit the family of Pierre Camy, a Grand Rapids man who was shot and paralyzed during a family vacation to Puerto Rico in January, 2011.

Carol Roeda and her wonderful staff believe artwork is an instrument that fosters hope and joy. For this fundraiser, Carol designed these unique house-shaped metal picture frames. They have dozens of hand painted magnets that can embellish or, more aptly, renovate these houses*!

100% of the proceeds form the sale of these frames will go to Pierre for the required renovations to his family’s home. Beginning Thursday, April 28th, these frames will be available at all Carol Roeda Studio locations and Schuler Books & Music (2660 28th St. Grand Rapids), and the Calvin College Campus Store.

Frames Available through the our website:

You can also donate to the Camy family here. During checkout, under Store Pickup Options, select pick up at store and then from the outlet drop-down.

*Embellishments are available at Carol Roeda Studios and Calvin College
