BookLamp, “Pandora For Books” has launched!

I am geeked about this!

While I would definitely say that the Schuler staff is the BEST book recommendation source around, the launch of BookLamp has created a site that’s a close second.

If you’ve ever used Pandora radio, you’ll already be familiar with the basics of the site, but if not, BookLamp is the site of the Book Genome project, which serves to identify the various features that make up a book, and then connect books with similar features.

So, if you just finished reading A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, and you want to follow it up with something comparable, BookLamp will lead you to Midnight Falcon by David Gemmell.

You can also browse by author, genre, or what they call “Story DNA” – the different themes featured in stories. They also feature a daily suggestion in “Today’s Uniquely Unique Title.”

I’m going to go explore – I have a feeling I won’t come up for air til next week. Fun fun fun! 🙂
