Trailer Tuesday: Louise, Amended by Michigan Native Louise Krug

Today’s trailer is something a little different – we tend to be heavy on young adult book trailers because publishers are making such great videos, knowing that the younger generations are very media savvy and visually driven. This week, however, we have a trailer from Black Balloon Publishing, a fantastic, quirky pub that champions unusual, genre-bending books. This small house, by choice, only publishes two books a year, so you know those books are carefully considered and deeply loved.

This season’s publication is Louise, Amended, a memoir by Michigan native Louise Krug, about how a brain angioma took her from a largely frivolous life to a startling world of disability and painful recovery.

It’s a powerful story, and we are so pleased that Louise will be sharing it in person at our Lansing store on May 17th (at 7 p.m.) for our Girls’ Night Out author series!

Check out the trailer for a teaser, and mark your calendars!
