Long Live the Indie: Schuler Books Celebrates 30 Years

Hopefully you’ve seen some of the great publicity Schuler has been getting lately in honor of its 30th Anniversary – 30 years in the book industry is obviously a huge landmark to be celebrate, particularly when you’ve grown to be the largest independent bookseller in the state!

Well, we wouldn’t be here without you, our loyal book-buying community, so we’re including you in the celebration with a full autumn schedule of author events, a $300 shopping spree giveaway, and our 30th Anniversary Sale!

Our upcoming events include NYT-bestsellers like Maggie Stiefavater and Cory Doctorow; Michigan favorites like Rhoda Janzen; great kids’ events like the touring Brain Quest Challenge,  and story-times including  Dr. Seuss Snoozapaloozas, and live appearances by SkippyJon Jones and Curious George!

(Last week our Grand Rapids store hosted blockbuster author Mitch Albom – autographed copies of The Time Keeper are available now at our 28th St. location.)

We’re also hosting our 30th Anniversary sale in all of our stores on September 29th and 30th, featuring 30% off all books, as well as other deals and offers on other great items!

As an extra bonus, each of our events in September is a chance to win a $300 shopping spree in honor of Schuler Books’ 30th Anniversary! To increase your chances of winning, complete an entry slip at each in-store event that you attend in September. The winner will be announced on Sept 30, 2012.

To check out our events, visit our website calendar, or like us on Facebook. You can also sign up at our website for our newsletter, which includes weekly coupons mailed to your inbox, event and contest information, and more.

We can’t thank you enough for your support over the years. Long Live the Indie!
